OBJECTIVES OF PRE-MARRIAGE COUNSELLING

• Primarily preventive & developmental service with the goal of promoting healthy relationship and understanding the nature of marriage, family life & rational attitudes & behaviour towards marriage situations.

MARRIAGE

• Initial step in the formation of the families.
• Basic unit of society
• crucial steps in the sense that it marks the time when man and woman agree to live together, commit themselves & vow to love & cherish each other until death.
• a lifetime career & vocation
• Special contract of union between man and woman entered into an accordance with law for establishment of conjugal and family life.
